I’ve noticed many times on taking my recycling to my floor’s trash room, that nearly everything in the recycling bin is beer bottles, wine bottles, and liquor bottles. And they aren’t all mine.

Bike vs. iPod

Another advantage of riding a bicycle: you can zoom right by the homeless people and they don’t even try bothering you. Far more effective than listening to my iPod. With an iPod, you have to be all “Oh, I’m sorry, I can’t hear you. I’m listening to my expensive iPod.” But when on a bike you zip right by before their forty-marinated brains have time to realize what’s going on.

Montgomery County is out to get me

Often times on a good hangover, I enjoy going to Eggspectations for a bloody mary. Problem was, I realized that hangover “brunch” always shifted into hangover “afternoon meal”. Sometimes as late as 4pm. I couldn’t bear having a breakfast drink in the afternoon. Something seemed very wrong about it. Wrong like Sobe selling out to Pepsi or like Christina Aguilara singing in Spanish.

To remedy the situation, I demanded that Preston, David and I go to Eggspectations at 8am on Sunday. I was not a popular person. I was, however a persistent person. We arrived by 9, which is far better than I had expected. “One bloody mary, please.” But apparently, Montgomery County was one step ahead of me with a law that prevents people from being happy before 10. I don’t remember voting on this. I’m sure I didn’t.

We ate our food slowly, until ten o’clock.

Next step: tomato juice at Giant.

Maybe she was drinking Kettle One

Yesterday on my way home I stepped into the MoCo liquor store (I LOVE county control of my fluids, by the way). In the two minutes I was there (would have been one minute, but I didn’t know if I should stick with the 1L bottle of Kettle One or take the great deal on the 1.75L) there was an an accident on Colesville Rd directly in front of the County We-Know-What’s-Best-For-You store and the police had already arrived. Apparently I was too in-tune to my decision at hand to hear the noise. But when I got outside, a police officer was talking with a girl who was standing outside her car. She had obviously rear-ended the car in front of her. The car in front had a scuffed bumper. Her car, however, had a completely dented in hood, to the point where the engine had started to retreat below the passenger cage. The funny thing about the situation however, was that the girl who was obviously at fault showed no signs of distress. She was talking calmly to the officer as if this was something that happened every Thursday.

This happened in the exact same spot as the photo yesterday.
